I wouldn't do that unless it was the kind specifically intended for that purpose. You could try Infusium 23. I put it in a spray bottle and use it. Just don't use too much. I think Pantene also makes one.

You absolutely can! It's exactly what I do. I use Surge Plus 14 Hair Growth conditioner in the spray bottle and saturate my hair at night and cover it with a scarf. In the morning it's soft and flexible but not greasy.
