Does your hair dry straight when you add mousse & just blow dry?

i've managed it on one side but on the other a bit still sticks out, i'm new to all this straight hair-do stuff so any advice is greatly appreciated

you will probably need to use a brush on the other side to style it in, as unfortunately hair has a tendancy to grow in one direction which means one side will slope in and the other will slope out, we all need a bit of help once in a while thats why we have such great products available now, but you will be fine with a hairdryer and a brush, happy straightening. xxx

try a flat iron or a larger curling iron to straighten hair if it still seems poofy

It will if you have it done at a salon, but I think it will be hard for you to achieve poker straight hair just from blow drying alone. Use straightners to get the hair looking more sleek afterwards.

Try using one of those hair irons, the ceramic ones work the best for me. Just take sections and run the iron down your hair. I do this after put in gel and blow dry it. It seems to work best when your hair is slightly damp, but not really wet.

try using a flat brush to guide the hair to turn under slightly, then, just before finishing, point the hairdryer striaght down the hair shaft from the top of the head and this will stop the flicky out bits!

No. the mousse makes it poofy. If you don't want to use a flat iron, then get a big paddle brush and a product for straightening, like Chi oil, or anti frizz cream. Then blow dry it while brushing it straight. Then it will be straight.
