Hey, I'm haft black haft white and I'm looking for the best wet to dry hair straightener?

conair... its red and thick... thats all i kno its mine and it works great

Hey, I'm haft black haft white and I'm looking for the best wet to dry hair straightener?

they say it works on wet hair but really what it does is boil your hair i say you try a blowdryer

Hey, I'm haft black haft white and I'm looking for the best wet to dry hair straightener?

None of them work too well, and I've tried about three of them. Just wait a year or so for the technology to get better. Until then, just dry it, then straighten. Honestly, they don't really do anything.

What to do with dry very thin hair?

okay, okay lots of people have asked this question(sorry ) but my hair is really really thin and is curly short and dry oh and not to mention it has like 10000 split ends what can i do about the

split ends

dryness

and how to make it grow really fast? i hear you have to plat it or something is this true?

i cut my hair about a week ago and the split ends just came back and its still really thin ....please help i would appreciate it alot.

What to do with dry very thin hair?

I would trim off the split ends, and give it a hot oil treatment. Then use a mild shampoo and conditioner, and you might even consider a protein shampoo/conditioner but make sure you read and follow the instructions precisely (you usually only use it once a week). Also I would stay away from hot irons and hair dryers which damage your hair. If you get your hair coloured, make it is done properly.

I know this sounds weird, but make sure you are getting enough protein in your diet, it can cause thin hair, though it is relatively uncommon in the US and Europe. Also, I know this sounds very odd, but make sure you are getting enough iron in your diet. Iron deficency is the most common type of defiency in the world, and if extreme it can cause thin hair to complete hair loss. An easy (though not professional) way to check is to pull down your lower eyelid and see if it is a healthy pink underneath the dark pink layer. Again I know it sounds weird, but it is somewhat common and very often overlooked cause of hairloss.

What to do with dry very thin hair?

Trim it, and use a good quality shampoo and conditioner. I'd recommend Pantene, but it gets pretty expensive.

Also, trimming your hair monthly will make your hair grow faster although it sounds bizarre.

What to do with dry very thin hair?

the split ends, you might want to frequently trim them... there's also leave in treatments for that kind of thing, i think. they might be caused by brushing your hair too hard, yanking on the ends if there's tangles or knots splits the ends [cause this happens to me. D:]

the dryness- use a good shampoo and conditioner, and there's leave in treatments for this. they can get expensive, but it all depends on how much you want the dryness to go away.

growing really fast, i'm not sure about that one. i think hair just grows at its natural rate and there's really not too much you can do to increase the speed.

hope this helps? :]

oh and also. the thinness-- you can get volumizing creams and shampoo's. try using sunsilk's line of volumizing stuff, it works really well, and it's not too spendy. [i've tried it myself. :D]

What to do with dry very thin hair?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

What should i use of my overly dry African American hair?

Everytime i go to the salon, i ask for various things to do with my hair, but they always say, your hair is too dry for that, so what should i use? I heard olive oil relaxers and oil sheen sprays were good.

What should i use of my overly dry African American hair?

im african american and i have discovered that ethnic drugstore brands really do not work. i suggest something that would hydrate your hair. keracare hydrating shampoo i think its called is very good as well as biologe ultra hydrating shampoo. you also need a good conditioner i suggest keracare humecto conditioner, biologe ultra-hydrating conditioner, and tigi bed head moisture manic conditioner. a nice product to have is redken clear moisture instant ploishing prep leave-in cuting and detangling lotion. and if you want to have a little shine after you finish styling your hair or even if its wet TIGI Catwalk Camera Ready

What should i use of my overly dry African American hair?

I don't understand why the stylist didn't have any suggestions. It may be time to replace her or visit another shop. You should deep condition weekly and do a hot oil treatment once a week. You will need a bonnet hair dryer and conditioner that you leave in for about 20 minutes while you are under heat. Visit a hair care shop and see what is in your price range. Everything comes with instructions. Avoid hair care products that contain alcohol (very drying). Aside from that eat properly - try to include flax seeds (the oil is fine also) in your diet. Drink plenty of water.

That should do it.

What should i use of my overly dry African American hair?

use Palmers olive oil formula with extra virgin olive oil. it should come in a 12 oz. and it should be green. put it on every or every other day depending how dry your hair is. works great

What should i use of my overly dry African American hair?

Oil Sheen hair spray are good for daily use.

Try using Luster's Pink Oil moisturizing Lotions or any Doo Gro oils. You need a conditioner and shampoo for dry hair. Also try using a hairdressing to our hair and scalp.

Dr. Miracles relaxers are a excellent product.

Get it trimmed often...they say mayo in the hair is good but, I have never tried it...my hair was totally fried from over processing...I quit dying it, had it trimmed every 2-3 weeks just a little trim, and I used Cholesterol cream in it a couple times a week...it did not improve over night, but it wasn't too long before there was improvement. I now have very healthy hair, and have cut back to using the cholesterol cream once a month....

*** the cream doesn't smell great so if you do use it use it a night you aren't going out.

What do I do for my long, dry and damaged hair?

It's dry and damaged from years of straighining irons and curling irons. I use lots of different kinds of shampoos and conditioners. i deeply condition my hair two to three months. Is there anything I can put on my hair, eat or do to give it volume, shine and look healthy overall??? Please help! If there is anything that WORKS, please let me know!!

What do I do for my long, dry and damaged hair?

The best thing lovely, is to quit doing what you're doing to damage your hair! Get an all over good trim and use cholestrol (for now) every other week. Stay AWAY from products that contain alcohol and petroleum in them! No kidding. Take vitamins, drink a lot of water and milk. Use a moisture rich shampoo and don't shampoo every day. That dries your hair out so much it isn't funny. Quit buying into the hype that t.v. ads and hair stylists want to make you swallow, they are in it for the bucks honey! Eat right and use a wide tooth comb, instead of a brush. Give your poor hair a rest and get healthy. Your hair and nails are a very good compass to your over all health, if your hair isn't healthy, neither are you. Good luck. Nana

Cut it all off! Bald is beautiful!

What do I do for my long, dry and damaged hair?

I love my Biolage Smooth Therapy.... makes hair so shiny and full. It's the only shampoo/conditioner that works on my hair.

What do I do for my long, dry and damaged hair?

my hair sounds pretty much the same as yours and after a while i found thses products work very well....for shine you can use....silk therapy by Biosilk, it comes in a clear bottle with a black top....and for volume you can use most mousses by Nexus.

Good Luck!

What do I do for my long, dry and damaged hair?

trim the tips then use a good conditioner

What do I do for my long, dry and damaged hair?

try herbal essences, for dry hair, or sunsilk hydra tlc or something like that. otherwise, i have found that dove shampoo and conditioner therapy works very well because its for extreme cases, though it might weigh your hair down a little. hope that helps!

What do I do for my long, dry and damaged hair?

Ok, 1st stops all your shampoo %26amp; conditioners because it's damaging! 2nd, get a baby shampoo...YES, IS BABY SHAMPOO! Look for Johnson or alike (Quality does matter). 3rd, get regular sleep %26amp; proper eating. Take Natural B-Complex nutrition supplement. Preferably from NUTRILITE(Reliable). Good Luck.

What do I do for my long, dry and damaged hair?

hot olive oil and a plastic shower cap for a couple hours. does wonders. drying the hair with a blowdryer really dries the hair out. air dry whenever you can do this at least once a week. there are hair vitamins at the drugstore

What do I do for my long, dry and damaged hair?

CUT it first. Start out with a healthy cut. That cut will depend on how long it has been since your last cut and the damage you have. I have had to cut up to six-seven inches to get the nasty stuff off. You should get your hair cut every 4-6 weeks after the initial cut and keep a regular schedule of cuts and deep conditioning. Your hair isn't going to look good even with all the conditioning you do, until you get it cut. I promise. Hair grows! It will get long again and this time take care of it as it is growing and you will have nice healthy shiny hair.

Drink lots of fluids and eat healthy food and that will help too. Rinse your hair in cold water. After you do your thing to your hair, hit some cold air on it for a few minutes to close down the cuticle . Then put some "silk therapy" by Farouk on it, not too much.

Good luck and God bless

What do I do for my long, dry and damaged hair?

cut spilt ends off first.

use deep condition 1 time a week.

get volumzing shampoo.

%26lt;3

What do I do for my long, dry and damaged hair?

ok condition condition then condition again... ok my moms a hairstylist so ive been around it my whole life... so if you want a good conditioner go down to the salon and buys some it my be $15 but its better then the other store stuff but if cant afford it then any conditioner will be good. ok so this sounds so dorky but it works wonders. put a bunch of conditioner all over your damp hair now take a large plastic bag and rip one side so that it will fit on your head. put your hair up with a clip, and the plastic bag over your whole conditioned head ( to protect your close and stuff from getting sonditioner on them and to help it trap heat), if you have a blowdryer use it (heat helps activate conditioner) do that for about 15 mins or just sit there with the conditioner on your head for about 30mins then just wash your hair out.. it should help.

ny haur was really bad to, and then i got a product called bed head and i read on it when you dry your hair with a towel scrunch it dry dont rub dry, i started that now my hair is purfect

What do I do for my long, dry and damaged hair?

I read that using a small amout of safflower oil is a natural humictant which attracts moisture, and leaves hair shiny. But the absolute best, quick remedy is a hair cut.

A plastic pen will attract pieces of light paper when rubbed through dry hair.Explain why this happe

Every matter is made up of atoms which has negatively charged electrons and positively charged protons. When rubbed through dry hair the plastic pen acquires static electricity by gaining electrons. It is this static electricity that makes it attract small pieces of paper. The following link provides a detailed answer.

http://www.sciencemadesimple.com/static....

A plastic pen will attract pieces of light paper when rubbed through dry hair.Explain why this happen in term?

because when you rub it against hair it loses some protons then the pen is negatively charged and negatively charged things attract other things of opposite charge

A plastic pen will attract pieces of light paper when rubbed through dry hair.Explain why this happen in term?

From friction comes static electricity and with electricity comes a small magnetic field.

Same principle is when you get an electric shock when getting out of the car (you rub synth clothes on the cars plastics and discharge that electricity on the car's metal) or when vacuuming and dust sticks to the vacuum's hose (you rub the hose/head complex to the rug and it gets static energy)

With the pet the energy is way smaller and'll discharge pretty fast

A plastic pen will attract pieces of light paper when rubbed through dry hair.Explain why this happen in term?

Sorry Jen, you got the wrong particle. It is electrons which get transfered. Try this too. Run a very low stream of water from a faucet and hold the pen close, it will attract the water and deflect the stream. The water flowing through air also becomes charged.

A plastic pen will attract pieces of light paper when rubbed through dry hair.Explain why this happen in term?

The friction between the hair and plastic pen causes a transfer of electrons from the hair to the plastic pen (as hair is more positive in the triboelectric series). This means that the plastic pen now has a build up of electrons and so has an overall negative charge.

As this negatively charged pen is brought closer to the neutral bits of paper, the electrons in the paper near the approaching pen are repelled to the opposite side of the paper. This causes a local positive charge in the paper next to the pen and so the paper (near side positive) and pen (negative) are attracted to each other (as opposites attract).

Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum ? does it work for spilt ends and dry hair?

I use this after I shower and then blow dry my hair. What it has done for me is keep my hair smooth and straight after I blow dry. I have dry hair with frizzes. Not sure about the split ends though.

Discuss it with a local hair stylist

What is the best hair straightener for thick, frizzy, dry, slightly wavy hair?

My hair is quite thick, dry, frizzy, puffy, wavy, and it's past my shoulders. What is a good hair straightener to use (be specific) that is not very expensive, and where can I buy it?

What is the best hair straightener for thick, frizzy, dry, slightly wavy hair?

I used a Conair for awhile, my hair is really puffy and goes very curly at my shoulders (My hair is mid-back length). The other answerers are right, I bought a chi a year ago and it works prefectly, giving me straight-but not dead-looking hair.

Whatever straightener you choose, please get a ceramic one. The damage is not worth the money saved on a cheap straightener. Good Luck!

What is the best hair straightener for thick, frizzy, dry, slightly wavy hair?

Use a chi staightner or a ceramic one. Both will be helpful but a chi may be more expensive than a ceramic depending to the staightner.

What is the best hair straightener for thick, frizzy, dry, slightly wavy hair?

the only one i can think of that works the best and worth the money is the chi. ive had mine for over 5 years and it still works like new!

What is the best hair straightener for thick, frizzy, dry, slightly wavy hair?

Remington Wet To Straight is good. You can straighten uyour hair while its damp, but it fries it. So use it on dry hair. You can find it at walmart for only 29.99

Very good straightner. Leaves your hair stick straight., shiny, and doesnt frizz at all.

Make sure to put heat protector in your hair, so it won't fry, or get damaged.

My Frizzy ,dry, poofy, wavy hair!?

when i wash my hair, its fine for the first half hour. but then it gets frizzy and dry and poofy and ugly. anything that can help this problem go away? please help me, im desperate!

My Frizzy ,dry, poofy, wavy hair!?

try john freida anti frizz serum. it works really well for me. i had that same problem.

My Frizzy ,dry, poofy, wavy hair!?

Try using anti-frizz shampoo and conditioner. Also, try adding in an anti frizz mousse while it's still wet. Blow dry it, and then in an anti frizz serum, and then straighten with a straightening balm. I know it sounds like a lot, but if you don't do it that way, it's pretty hard to tame frizzy poofy hair! Or you could always add in some curl defining mousse, and curling all day hairspray if you want a curly look!

How do you hydrate damaged/dry ends of hair?

I feel like the ends of my hair are really dry and coarse. What can I do to moisturize them or hydrate them besides using conditioner (which I do everyday) or getting a trim?

How do you hydrate damaged/dry ends of hair?

ok dont laugh when I tell you..Mayonaise..wet your hair and rub mayo on the ends and wrap your hair in a hot towel for about 30mins. then wash and condition as normal since this is a natural product you can do this weekly if needed but you may not need it. Also you need to just nip the ends avout every four weeks

How do you hydrate damaged/dry ends of hair?

trim the ends is the only thing you can do

How do you hydrate damaged/dry ends of hair?

you can use a hot oil treatment you can get at a local drug store it helps a lot in between haircuts

How do you hydrate damaged/dry ends of hair?

trim off the dead ends...

How do you hydrate damaged/dry ends of hair?

u have to cut them, i trimmed all my dead ends and now my hair is getting long and it is thick and healthy!

How do you hydrate damaged/dry ends of hair?

Put olive oil on your hair and wrap in a hot wet towel or heating cap for 30 minutes. Shampoo and condition afterwards.

How do you hydrate damaged/dry ends of hair?

Try Glycerin.

Just leave it on the ends for about a minute THEN shampoo. It's a bit greasy feeling when you first put it on but it does the trick in rehydrating....once it's dry, you won't be able to tell it had been greasy at all.

However....this doesn't work if your problem is split ends. Only a tipping can cure that. ;)

Whats the best shampo and conditioner to use for dry hair?

I love burt's bees products, and their shampoos and conditioners are fabulous! smell great, work nicely and they're all natural so you don't have to worry about it mistreating your hair w/ chemicals or weighing it down! commercial products (anything you can buy at the store that contains parabens %26amp; other chemicals) dry out your hair, even if they claim to be moisturizing!

Parabens are a group of chemicals widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Parabens are preservatives in many types of formulas. These compounds, and their salts, are used primarily for their bacteriocidal and fungicidal properties. They can be found in shampoos, commercial moisturizers, shaving gels, cleansing gels, personal lubricants, topical pharmaceuticals and toothpaste. They are also used as food additives.

Parabens can mimic the hormone estrogen, which is known to play a role in the development of breast cancers.

well i myself have very dry hair and i get my shampoo and conditioner at wal-mart and the kind i get is vive but make sure you look at it right so that it is for dry and unmanagable hair.

Whats the best shampo and conditioner to use for dry hair?

I like Pantene for daily use and they have a "hair mask" that I use about once a week during the summer if I'm in the pool alot...as chlorine drys your hair out bad....about every 2 weeks through the winter! It's a deep conditioner. Try not to dry your hair every day...let it air dry on weekends. If you do dry it with a dryer, make sure you have plenty of time and dry it on low or get a dryer/brush!

Whats the best shampo and conditioner to use for dry hair?

Pantene Pro-v has a shampoo/conditioner for every type of hair, they all work great. My hair has never been dry since I started using Pantene.

Whats the best shampo and conditioner to use for dry hair?

Pantene Pro-V or Garnier Fructiese (spelling?) may work

Whats the best shampo and conditioner to use for dry hair?

Hands down. Pantene Pro-V. Find the one that suits your needs.

Also, if the hair is REALLY damanged, you can make the following formula:

1 part daily conditioner

1 part deep conditioner

1 part hair masque (mask)

Combine the ingredients (again, Pantene is great for this and so is Nutrogena). Put the compound in hair after washing (squeeze remaining water out of your hair first). Take 2 towels and dampen them. Put one in the microwave for about 30 seconds or so. Get the towel out of the microwave and wrap it around your hair. Put the second towel in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Once it's done, take off the first towel and replace it with the new towel. Repeat the process 3 times, then rinse your hair COMPLETELY.

After doing that, I would recommend putting in a leave-in conditioner and comb it through your hair.

If there's one thing I know, it's hair. I dye my hair constantly and use harsh products to get the style I need. I found this formula to work wonders on even my "fried" hair, so really dry hair shouldn't be a problem.

If you have a problem with "poofy" hair, you should also consider putting a hair straightening balm (the clear stuff) in your hair.

Whats the best shampo and conditioner to use for dry hair?

different brands work differently on everyone, some of my clients love pantene and treseme, some hate it!

just try one thats moisturising or hydrating, this means its got extra conditioners in them, excellent for dried out hair.

another tip is the cheaper shampoos are worse, sounds obvious but store bought shampoos and conditioners contain salt water which dehydrates the hair so your best bet is one from a salon!!

Whats the best shampo and conditioner to use for dry hair?

I have dry and natural curly hair , I use Catwalk Oatmeal %26amp; Honey Shampoo and Conditioner,, by far has been the best with my hair. I ahve tried dozend upon dozens. As a stylist of 24yrs. The first thing you must determine is what is causing the hair to be dry. Is it naturally dry, is it due to color or other chemical services, is it from roots to ends, how often is the hair getting cut? In my opinion, Kerestase by L'Oreal Paris, is the absolute best line of hair care products. It is sold only in exclusive Salons where stylist have been trained to use and teach you which products are best for you to use at home and In-Salon treatments. If you want beautiful hair then treat it to the best, it's worth it.

Say you do use the salt and water. DO you apply it with wet or dry hair?

If you're referring to a homemade sea salt spray, you apply it on damp hair. Not dripping wet, but damp. Better for styling.

Don't use too much though or it'll dry your hair out.

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

I personally blow dry first, because sometimes the heat will make my face oily because it opens up my pores. So then after I blow dry I blot my face and cool it down so that I can then put on my make-up oil free.

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

i tend to dry hair then put on ,make up

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

It is better to blow dry hair first - that way, your makeup won't run if you have it on a hot setting and unruly hair won't get in the way of makeup application. Good luck!

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

I prefer makeup last. If you do makeup first and then blow dry the heat may ruin your makeup. It will not look as fresh.

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

I like to do my makeup first because then you have clean hands before touching your hair.

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

blowdry hair first.......if u put on makeup first it will get all in ur hair and if u have liquid foundation it could melt

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

it wont make too much of a differnece.

i personally put on my makup after i blowdry my hair cause my blowdryer gets pretty hot and i dont want my makeup to runn

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

blow dry hair first so that your hair doesnt mess up your make-up while blowdrying

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

If you put your makeup on first, it will allow some extra time for your hair to dry. By the time your finished with your makeup, drying your hair wont take as long because it will already be somewhat dry.

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

blow dry first then make up..

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

Blow dry then make-up

Blow drying can sometimes make you sweat and ruin your make-up

Good luck :)

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

Obviously blow dry then make-up. Because, just think; if you have makeup on and you dry your hair, the make-up could run, or the heat could mess it up or discolor it maybe. And also your hair could blow in your face and wipe off your make-up or worse yet, get stuck too your lipgloss. eek!

hope this helped! =]

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

dry your hair first then put on the makeup that way you'll be able to do your makeup according to the way your hair looks so that it will look right with everything else. and your wet hair wont drip on your face and wash away your makeup

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

I dry my hair first. That way, my makeup doesn't get ruined or anything with the hairdryer.

Hope this helps and Happy Holidays,

Alycia

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

Blow dry hair first so that it doesnt get into your face and smudge your make up :)

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

dry ur hair then apply makeup

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

i have my hair in a towel and then i do my makeup. that way my hair is up and out of the way

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

Whenever I'm getting ready, i tend to blow dry my hair first so my make up doesn't smear/run from the hot blowing air. Once my hair is completely dry, i usually do my makeup then i'm ready to go!

Is it better to put make up on first, then blow dry hair, or vice versa?

I've done it both ways. They both work just fine.

Does alcohol dry out your hair?

Everytime I drink a far bit of booze my hair in morning is very dry and coarse. Is there anything that can be done to keep it in better condition. No I am not going to stop drinking!!

Does alcohol dry out your hair?

Drink tons of water and take vitamin E pills

Does alcohol dry out your hair?

most do but not all.. you should research that lol

Does alcohol dry out your hair?

than deal with the dry hair, alcoholic

Does alcohol dry out your hair?

use conditioner. cut down on doing things that expose it to too much heat (i.e. blow drying and flat ironing). eat lots of protein. i've also heard vitamin e is good for hair, too.

if you can't completely abstain from drinking alcohol, maybe cut down a lil bit

Does alcohol dry out your hair?

yes it does. Try to use products in which alcohol is further down in the list of ingredients, thus meaning that it is less of it in the product.

Alright, I used to put up my mohawk like this so here's experience talking-

Dry-otherwise it will turn white.

Tips-have a friend help you with the hairdryer, lay on your side on a bed and have him/her blowdry for at least 10 min. from both sides while you hold it trying to keep it as positioned as possible.

When your ready to wash-make sure you have a really good shampoo and be prepared to scrub under hot water for a LONG while-it will get sticky and gross before it gets better.

When using elmers glue as gel..do i put it on wet or dry hair, will my hair turn white from it?

I'm not sure that Elmers Glue will

keep your hair from falling out.

When using elmers glue as gel..do i put it on wet or dry hair, will my hair turn white from it?

I use it after I have towel dried my hair. It dries clear. Remember what you learned in kindergarten - a little dab'll do ya. It helps to hold your head upside down and smooth into shape until it dries.

Personally I prefer knox unflavored gelatin to get my hair up there. It's a little easier to get out. Make it a little thicker than usual and apply while it's luke- warm (but not hot). Again, hold your head upside down and smooth into shape until it dries.

Hope this helps

When using elmers glue as gel..do i put it on wet or dry hair, will my hair turn white from it?

I swear by Tresemme'. I wouldn't leave home without it. It's like my credit card. Since you have dry hair use the moisturizing formulas. Pantene is also another really good one. But if you want really remarkable results, then go to a higher end salon. You'll find the best products there. Remeber...Moisturizing or Deep Conditioning formulas are the way to go.

HERBEL all the way!

Looking to tame majorly dry, frizzy, puffy hair that can't be tamed with shampoo...help?

Okay here's my deal, I'll try to explain it as best as I can...since I was born I've had this insane thick hair that, when left out of the band for a short time, gets frizzy, dry, and worst of all, puffy. I swear, when I leave it out it stands 3 inches out from my head. I've tried shampoo after shampoo after shampoo etc etc but no matter what it doesn't change at all. It gets even worse when I wash it!

I'm looking for some way I can tame this mess, even if it only lasts a short time. I'm not looking for celebrity hair, I'm just looking for non-carnivorous hair, however you choose to define that.

Go wild, I'm willing to try anything.

All help is much appreciated. THANKS!!

Looking to tame majorly dry, frizzy, puffy hair that can't be tamed with shampoo...help?

First, treat them frizzies and dry hair.

Make a hair mask!

Recipes For Shiny Hair

To give your hair a great shine and help remove soap build up.

Blondes ?Add a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice to your rinse water.

Brunettes and Redheads ?Add a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to your rinse water.

Stir 1 teaspoon honey into 4 cups (1 quart) warm water. After shampooing, pour mixture through hair. Do not rinse out. Dry as normal.

Fruit Smoothie Hair Mask

Blend 1/2 a banana, 1/4 cantaloupe, 1/4 avocado, 1 tablespoon wheat germ oil and 1 tablespoon yogurt. For extra conditioning, squeeze in the contents of a vitamin E capsule. Leave in hair for 15 minutes.

**Honey %26amp; Olive Oil Hair Mask (Dry Hair)

Mix 1/2 cup honey and 3 tablespoons olive oil. Work a small amount at a time through hair until coated. Cover hair with a shower cap; leave on 30 minutes (or longer if you want). Shampoo well and rinse.

Dandruff Treatment

Boil 7 heaping tablespoons dried thyme in 2 cups water for 10 minutes. Strain and cool. Pour 1/2 mixture over clean, damp hair. Massage into scalp, do not rinse. Use the rest of the solution another day.

Yogurt Hair Mask (Dry Hair)

Beat 1 egg white until foamy. Add to 6 tablespoons plain natural yogurt. Apply to hair in small sections at a time. Leave in for 15 minutes. Rinse.

**Egg %26amp; Olive Oil Hair Mask(Dry Hair Helper)

Mix two whole eggs with four tablespoons of olive oil. Smooth through hair. Wrap head with plastic wrap, and leave in hair for 10 minutes. Rinse well.

The recipes below are from creativehomemaking.com

Conditioners

Mayonnaise is a great conditioner for dry hair. Depending on the length of your hair, apply approximately 1/2 cup of mayonnaise to your dry hair. Work into hair really well and then cover your hair with a plastic bag, allowing to set for about 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and then shampoo as usual.

In a blender or food processor, combine 2 1/2 tablespoons dried milk, 1 tablespoon wheat germ oil, and 1 egg. Apply evenly to hair and let set for at least an hour. Shampoo and style as usual.

Hair Setting Lotions

Try dissolving a teaspoon of gelatin in a cup of warm water and use this as a setting lotion before styling hair. You can use this as a liquid or chill it and use it as a gel.

Dissolve 1 teaspoon sugar in 1 cup warm water and apply to damp hair before styling.

Combine 4 tablespoons olive oil and 2 tablespoons honey in a glass jar with a lid and shake until well blended. Let mixture sit for 3 to 4 days, and shake it occasionally. Rub mixture evenly into dry hair and wrap hair in plastic wrap, letting set for at least an hour. Shampoo as usual.

Mix together 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and 1 egg. Apply to hair and let set for about an hour. Shampoo as usual.

To help a flaky scalp, warm 2 to 3 tablespoons vegetable oil in the microwave (make sure it鈥檚 not too hot!) and then gently apply to scalp with cotton balls. Let set for at least an hour and then shampoo as usual.

Next up, you will want to find a good quality conditioner. I suggest Pantene Pro-V shampoos and conditioners, but please keep in mind they are cruel to animals.

STOP SHAMPOOING SO MUCH! Shampooing too often will dry out your hair, and instead of shampooing every day, shampoo every other day. This will give your hair natural shine and keep your scalp moisturised.

Try a smoothing serum, I'd suggest Biolage serums as well as Matrix Serums.

Hope I helped!

Looking to tame majorly dry, frizzy, puffy hair that can't be tamed with shampoo...help?

i have hair almost exactly like this, use conditioner! a straightening iron does wonders for me, but i hav thick hair so it still isn't flat but also i put gel and mouse in my hair and scrunch it for a curly look. when you are planning to straighten the next day , take a shower and dont rinse out your conditioner and go to bed wet headed, it makes it less frizzy1 hope i helped!

Looking to tame majorly dry, frizzy, puffy hair that can't be tamed with shampoo...help?

Cut it really close like the guy on Prison Break.

Or try some different gels or even hair oils. Depending on how you style it. Some gels are like glue and hold it in place but they can look really stiff. Some of the oils (or even a pomode) give you a little freedom to comb it or run your hand through it but still keep it from puffing out.

Looking to tame majorly dry, frizzy, puffy hair that can't be tamed with shampoo...help?

I think the shampoo is the problem. It sounds gross, but you can go a day or two withoug shampooing your hair. Still shower of course! But use just conditioner. Try FrizEase conditioner. Its 3-5$ a bottle, but it works really well :] If not that, try Infuseium 23 conditioner. And the Friz Ease hair sirum works really well for frizzy hair too :D

Is the use of a leave in conditioner is good for dry hair and is VO5 conditioner a good one or not?

Leave in conditioner is very good for dry hair. Just dont use it too often! VO5 isnt such a good one. I use Pantene and it is wonderful! I've been using it for about 4 months and will NOT change it.

Is the use of a leave in conditioner is good for dry hair and is VO5 conditioner a good one or not?

Try Mane n Tail conditoner Report It

Is the use of a leave in conditioner is good for dry hair and is VO5 conditioner a good one or not?

leave in conditioner IS good for dry hair....but VO5 is not a good one. Pantene is a little more expensive, but way better for your hair, and it smells better too!! If you can afford it, even go with something like Paul Mitchell that is really good for your hair.

Is the use of a leave in conditioner is good for dry hair and is VO5 conditioner a good one or not?

V05 is a nice conditioner but not leave on..

u can try pantene or creamsilk.

but i dont advice using leave on conditioner.. it makes d hair look blunt

Is the use of a leave in conditioner is good for dry hair and is VO5 conditioner a good one or not?

try dove leave in conditioner its great ;-)

Is the use of a leave in conditioner is good for dry hair and is VO5 conditioner a good one or not?

okay for real, i hate leave in anything. jsut use regular shampoo and conditioner and other regular hairsprays and stuff. ones that are specified to your hair type. seems like your hair would be full of residue and cause dandruff and stuff like that with leave-in stuff. dont even use 2-in-1 stuff either. i dont see what that does for your hair. its like a time saver and a money maker for companies is what i think. really doesnt take much more to use the regular shampoo and conditioner either, maybe 5 more minutes lol. anyway, use pantene though, all the way! for like everything you need for your hair. that stuff makes your hair so healthy! i absolutely love it! and i will not change! your hair will be just fine with out the other crap, like leave in conditioner and 2-in-1. :) thanks!

Is the use of a leave in conditioner is good for dry hair and is VO5 conditioner a good one or not?

Leave in conditioner is good for your hair. I like Herbal Essence leave in hair detangler. I do not recommend using VO5 it is very bad for your hair. I like Aussie brand conditioners.

I'm looking for a great cheap home made conditioner for dry hair?

Use an avocado,a ripe one, great it or bleand it,take about 6 table spoons of OLIVE oil heat it and mix it with the avocado and apply this to your hair.To have better result sit under the steamer or use hot towels, cover your hair with a cap and then put towels in hot water and place them on your head and cover it again in another towel.m,ake sure the hot water dose not drip on you so be careful.

I'm looking for a great cheap home made conditioner for dry hair?

You can also use mayonaise - the fats and proteins in it help to restore shine and soften the hair shaft. Apply liberally, then put on a cap and use the the hot towel treatment, same as with the avocado mixture.

I'm looking for a great cheap home made conditioner for dry hair?

This is easy %26amp; works really well. Mix together well: 1/2 cup ofyour regular conditioner, 2 eggs 2 tablespoons of oil (vitamin e oil is best, but any will work, including regular old cooking oil), a few squirts of lemon juice and a bit of your favorite perfume. Shampoo your hair, then work your conditioner through your hair from scalp to ends. Use a lot of it. Wrap it up in a towel so it doesn't drip %26amp; just leave it, or heat it with a damp towel %26amp; hair dryer. Leave it in your hair for 5 minutes or longer. I leave mine in for a few hours when I can. Rinse it out WELL %26amp; you'll definately notice a difference. When I have it, I also add a few tablespoons of glycerin.

As anyone got any good homemade conditioner recipes to treat dull dry hair i av it trimmed reg- but

I like heated almond oil. I put it on while my hair is wet, wrap my hair in some plastic-wrap,do some work around the house, and then rinse it out.

As anyone got any good homemade conditioner recipes to treat dull dry hair i av it trimmed reg- but want shine

Lemon juice in cold water for your final rinse will make it shine, also beer is supposed to be good for your hair too!

As anyone got any good homemade conditioner recipes to treat dull dry hair i av it trimmed reg- but want shine

I've got very dry curly hair. Once a fortnight i cover it in mayonaise and wrap it in clingfilm overnight. It has to be full fat. The egg, vinegar and oil in it all make your hair really shine.

As anyone got any good homemade conditioner recipes to treat dull dry hair i av it trimmed reg- but want shine

Try bees wax by Johnson %26amp; Johnson! Spray liberally %26amp; watch it shine.

As anyone got any good homemade conditioner recipes to treat dull dry hair i av it trimmed reg- but want shine

castor oil

As anyone got any good homemade conditioner recipes to treat dull dry hair i av it trimmed reg- but want shine

beer is great for shine, also make sure you're giving your hair enough oils - a hot olive oil treatment is great for this, but don't get the oil in the roots cos your hair will be greasy for ages. bananas mashed up are great to condition too but they're a nightmare to get out. if you're hair is dry it's hard to get shine - i find also that the shampoos for your colour of hair are great, i particularly like the Denise McAdam shampoos for brunettes. even just a cold rinse at the end of your hair washing can increase shine hugely. you'll find something that works!

As anyone got any good homemade conditioner recipes to treat dull dry hair i av it trimmed reg- but want shine

You can try the Beer Shine Rinse, the details are at: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?optio...

What is the best "deep conditioner" for fine, thin, but very dry hair?

What brands specifically and how often to use w/o causing further damage?

What is the best "deep conditioner" for fine, thin, but very dry hair?

I use the L'Oreal hair masque for color-treated hair once a week. :) Then again, I color my hair, so it's appropriate. I've found that I keep my hair in better shape with a light conditioner every day and then do the deep conditioning once a week. I use the L'Oreal Excellence color on my hair - those conditioning tubes they pack with them are so thick, so I also use a little bit of that once a week, instead of using half the tube immediately after I color and the other half 2 weeks later. One tube will last me from color to color (about 6-8 weeks, if I stay on top of it).

For the daily conditioning, I love the Dove line (I just couldn't find a masque by them yet or else I would have stayed true to product line LOL) - their foaming "mousse-like" conditioner works very well - it conditions lightly and rinses clean. Plus, I use their moisturizing shampoo too.

My mother-in-law swears by V05's hot oil treatment, but she has very thick hair. I suppose you could give it a try, but it might weigh your hair down.

One other note, it's best to take a few suggestions and try them out - what works for me might not work for you...but I started using Dove after I asked a friend who has GORGEOUS hair...and when I put the time into styling mine, it turns out pretty damn good too. :) I have another friend who swears by the Garnier line and they just don't work well for me.

Good luck!

Remedies to fix dry, rough, frizzy hair?!?

My hair has always been rough and dry! It only seems soft and nourished after I home dye it. Then it just goes back to the way it was before...I've tried everything to soften it; animal placenta, different shampoos and conditioners, moisturizing products...everything..it's just dry and wont grow!!! Help!

Remedies to fix dry, rough, frizzy hair?!?

My hair used to always be frizzy except when I would straighten it. I started using this product Biolage [Matrix]. I used the shampoo, conditioner, and this hair cream that protects your hair from heating tools. It really helped me (especially the cream) and my hair is never frizzy even when I air dry it!!!

Remedies to fix dry, rough, frizzy hair?!?

Girl, try natural remedies like mayo, eggs, and olive oil. You can plug in "natural rememdies for ???? hair" online and everything from whatever will pop up.

Good luck, stay away from hair color.

Remedies to fix dry, rough, frizzy hair?!?

try "pantene" products, or "biolage", "sleek.look" is a great brand too. um... if none of those work then try using "garnier". those are THE BEST.

Remedies to fix dry, rough, frizzy hair?!?

animal placenta?? whoa, you really do want it soft. i suggest using garnier fructis shampoos and styling products. they are fortified with vit b which really helps to make it grow. and after you condition it, rinse it under cold water. it helps keep the cuticles of the hair down and not as frizzy. if you straighten it, use an oil like biosilk(that's my personal fave). if you curl it or make it wavy, use a smoother oil. but it mostly depends on how your hair is whether it's straight or curly or wavy. also, another tip, if you have a few flyaways or frizzies, use hand lotion. rub it between your palms and smooth your hair down. it tames them and if they fly up again, you can always use a bit more lotion.

Remedies to fix dry, rough, frizzy hair?!?

I had the same problem when my hair was long (now it's pixie-cut and I love it!). I'm sure any of the suggestions already here will help - they all look good. But for me, the best thing I ever found was from Sexy Hair (a salon brand). I used the "Sexy Healthy Hair Soy moisture shampoo" and the "Sexy Silky Hair" leave-in conditioner. You can google-search and find these products online, or at a beauty supply store.

If you say it's dry and won't grow, it might be a nutritional thing. If you don't already, maybe you should take vitamins, and ask your doctor about what foods might help nourish your hair (or search online).

Remedies to fix dry, rough, frizzy hair?!?

You need to consistently treat your dry hair with products made for it's condition. That means that you not only use shampoos and conditioners, you use deep conditioning treatments(Frederic Fekkai Hair Mask),anti-frizz serums(Frizz Ease,Wio Straight Balm,Ouidad,Phytodefrisant) and finishing creams(also called hair creams or hair dressing creams..Frederick Fekkai has one with Olive Oil,Alberto VO5) .The finishing/hair creams can be used everyday to keep your hair moisturized. If you have damaged hair, try Infusium Leave-In Conditioner. You also need to get a good hair cut that is good for the type of hair that you have. Some cuts allow hair to be unruly and very frizzy...the shape of the cut is very important.

You may also want to consider getting a permanent straightening procedure done,if your hair is in good condition. This is best done by a professional.

Here are some products that I use:

Frederic Fekkai Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner with Shea Butter

Redken's All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner

Redken's Outshine anti-frizz polishing milk

Redken's Align ultra-straight balm

Phytodefrisant anti-frizz products

Ouidad anti-frizz-line

Frederic Fekkai Hairdressing cream with Olive Oil

Fredric Fekkai Hair Mask

I also had a consultation with a stylist to figure out what kind of cuts would work with my hair.I settled on a good cut that keeps the frizz tamed.

Remedies to fix dry, rough, frizzy hair?!?

Ewww animal placenta? how did you get to that? anyways....just get half a cup of honey, 2 tbsp.olive oil, some lemon juice, mix it all up then put in your hair and leave it there for about 2o minutes, then shampoo it out. My hair is also curly and frizzy and it helps alot and makes your hair very soft! Just do it about once every month, okay?

I hope this helped! :)

Remedies to fix dry, rough, frizzy hair?!?

Honey, Honey Oils, And hot Honey Wax, anything with honey should cure ur dry frizzy hair, then follow up with "Tresseme anti-frizz-full-moisture" gel, i hope i helped!

Have any of you people tried dove intense moisture? did it work for your hair? should i get it for m

Yes Dove Shampoos and Conditioners are great moisturizers. I comb my hair in the shower with it and the comb just glide through. Its a great detangler as well. When I was done, my hair felt better instantly and made styling better. I prefer Dove over Pantene anyday!! Go for it!!

PS. Dove IM is made for moisturizing!! If you have frizzy hair you need a something like Garnier Fructis...

Have any of you people tried dove intense moisture? did it work for your hair? should i get it for my dry hair

i didnt like it. my hair is crap and i use vive pro for medium to long hair that is damaged, or brunette expressions. they both make your hair real soft. ive tried the dove stuff and it made my hair soft, but it didnt cut the frizzyness.

When you apply the mousse and the gel could you apply it on wet hair? or it works only on dry hair??

pls help me its urgent!!!!!!!!!!

When you apply the mousse and the gel could you apply it on wet hair? or it works only on dry hair?????

You can apply mousse on either wet or dry hair. I prefer to apply it to slightly damp hair for better control in styling.

When you apply the mousse and the gel could you apply it on wet hair? or it works only on dry hair?????

Yes defo, go for it, it will look cool.

When you apply the mousse and the gel could you apply it on wet hair? or it works only on dry hair?????

Mousse is always better on wet hair, then dry and gel, wax, hairspray or use serum to hold your style.

When you apply the mousse and the gel could you apply it on wet hair? or it works only on dry hair?????

i prefer to use it on my hair when it slightly damp..works fine

When you apply the mousse and the gel could you apply it on wet hair? or it works only on dry hair?????

You can apply it on both wet and dry hair. According to my hair mousse, mine said that the best solution is to put it after shampoo and on damp hair. Gel is to style your hair, and it will be more sticky. Your head will itch easily.

When you apply the mousse and the gel could you apply it on wet hair? or it works only on dry hair?????

Its fine to put mousse/gel on both wet and dry hair.

What's the best hydrating shampoo and or conditioner for SUPER dry hair?

The BEST conditioner I've ever used is Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment. This stuff is amazing! It turned my straw like hair into soft and silk locks. Even my hubby noticed a difference and that's a hard thing to do! It comes in a little brown jar and is kind of a paste. It turns to oil when you rub it between your palms. It comes with a pamphlet that tells you the many ways to use it. I leave it in for an hour or more then shampoo and condition. I was shocked by the results! It's like having a new head of hair. I couldn't stop looking in the mirror and touching it!

It does cost a bit more then drugstore brands but a small jar lasts a really long time because you only use a little bit at a time. Plus, when you see the results, you'll be glad you spent the extra.

You can find it at drugstore.com, QVC.com, sephora.com and ojon.com.

I highly recommend this product. You will NEVER have dry and damaged hair again!

Can u tell me a good hair product that i can buy for frizzy colored permed and dry hair and to make

like drug stores

Can u tell me a good hair product that i can buy for frizzy colored permed and dry hair and to make it soft?

Choose a hair stylist experienced in curly/dry hair.

Have your hair stylist help you choose a hairstyle that is easy to maintain--preferably one that just requires a wet-and-go approach.

Once you have your favored style, visit your stylist at least 4 times a year to trim split ends.

Don't let your hair stylist use a razor to layer your hair (although layering is good.) Razors contribute to split ends.

Don't wash hair every day. This kind of hair needs the natural oils from your scalp to reduce frizz.

To upkeep your desired style, just wet hair with some conditioner on non-washing days (rinse thoroughly).

Avoid using hairdryers unless necessary. Blowdrying hair dries it out. If you must use a hair dryer than make sure you use a diffuser.

Believe it or not, grease, mousses and gels make caring for this kind of hair harder!! Chemical build-ups require more washing than is healthy.

If you must use products, use high-quality, health-food store or salon products that leave little residue.

Do not brush, unless you want a 'fro.

Love your hair! Many are envious of the regal quality of curly hair!

Hope this helps~

Can u tell me a good hair product that i can buy for frizzy colored permed and dry hair and to make it soft?

Sebastian no9 Potion-a leave in hair treatment which puts moisture into your hair.As you know moisture makes hair look healthy and feel soft and also easier to style. Wash hair-then take amount approx. the size of a dime distribute through your hair-leave in and style hair as usual.. The difference is almost immediate as it was with me when my hair was dry-now I don't do without is. Is a bit pricey $6,00 for small and $13.00 for larger tube but worth it. Can be found in better salons but surprised me when I found the small tube for sale at CVS and larger at Kroger. You will love your newly SOFT Hair.

Can u tell me a good hair product that i can buy for frizzy colored permed and dry hair and to make it soft?

First step get a fresh cut. Getting rid of dead ends works wonders. No product can eliminate split ends.

Phytolage is the best line of products on the market.

I use their Phytodefrissant straightening balm for blow drying - there is no product like it, it is award winning.

http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...

For curls I like Devacurl anGeLL - a smoothing alcohol- free gel that works wonders for my curls. ( I bought it in a beauty chain store called "ricky's") Aloe vera gel (non-medicated), the same stuff you would use on sunburned skin also smooths the hair cuticle.

Be sure to stay away from any and all products containing alcohol (most of the items in the drugstore do!) as they will further dry out your hair. Infusium-23 leave in conditioner is a must! Deep condition with a hair masque at least once a week - Hot-oil treatments work wonders. FYI... It is better to spend a little more on a product that works than spend the same amount trying dozens that don't. Good luck taming that mane!

Can u tell me a good hair product that i can buy for frizzy colored permed and dry hair and to make it soft?

well u can buy frizz ease or frizz remedy i use frizz remedy they might sell them at walmart

After washing my hair, my hair is all dry and frizzy. it stays like that for like five hours?

i guess after five hours, oil glands starts building up and make my hair look soft and shiny again. but how do i speed the process up? five hours is too much to be walking around with dry and frizzy hair.

After washing my hair, my hair is all dry and frizzy. it stays like that for like five hours?

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE VERY DRY HAIR SO YOU SHOULD USE SOME KIND OF HOT OIL TREATMENT OR VO5 HAIR DRESSING TO KEEP IT IN CONTROL

After washing my hair, my hair is all dry and frizzy. it stays like that for like five hours?

really good conditioner and gentle shampoo...and gentle washing...

After washing my hair, my hair is all dry and frizzy. it stays like that for like five hours?

try that frizz ease product you will like it it takes the frizz away try it pantene has a shampoo and conditioner it is very good and works well

After washing my hair, my hair is all dry and frizzy. it stays like that for like five hours?

good luck.

After washing my hair, my hair is all dry and frizzy. it stays like that for like five hours?

try leaving on your conditioner for a little longer. it should help control your frizziness and dryness problem.

After washing my hair, my hair is all dry and frizzy. it stays like that for like five hours?

You need conditioner, girlfriend. Also - you need to use good shampoo, especially made for your hair type. If you use too harsh a shampoo, your oil glands will overproduce, to correct the pH of your scalp. Go gentle. With conditioner, concentrate on ends and stay away from scalp. If you tend to be oily - here is my professional recommend: Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo, and The Conditioner. Or, Sebastian shampoo, followed by Moisture Base or Sheen.

After washing my hair, my hair is all dry and frizzy. it stays like that for like five hours?

I color my hair and it gets very dry if I do not keep it conditioned. I have found the best product that works best for me is Aussie 3 minute miracle. It was recomended to me by a coworker and I live by it now!

After washing my hair, my hair is all dry and frizzy. it stays like that for like five hours?

OMG! I hav the same problem! I hate it! Rite when i come out of the shower, and my hair dries, itz all frizzie and wild!!

After washing my hair, my hair is all dry and frizzy. it stays like that for like five hours?

I have the same problem and have tried every shampoo/cond that is out there. The only solution that has worked for me is a heat serum/spray along with proper blowdrying. When you blow dry make sure to section the hair, blow hot and then hit it with a cold shot...it tends to calm the hair down and also set it in place. That trick also works with stubborn cowlicks as well.

I have long/ thick/dry/frizzy/curly hair due to my latin heritage. All i want to do is be able to we

When i wear my hair down it becomes a big dry frizzy afro without any curl definition. I don't anythging that will make it straight. I want to be able to wear it out curly. What are the best products that i can use in order to achieve my goals?

I have long/ thick/dry/frizzy/curly hair due to my latin heritage. All i want to do is be able to wear it down

Ooo, girl I'm Latina tambien with the same type of hair.

First off, we need to start by improving hair from the inside. Drink about 8 cups of water daily, eat plently of protein, fruits, vegetable, and omega 3 fatty acids (found in fish).

Latin, Biracial, African-American, and Mediterranean hair tends to be dryer than Caucasian hair, so moisture is a must. Buy a good, salon-quality moisturizing shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, and leave-in conditioner.

Try not to wash your hair everyday if you can help it, and if you have to wash it everyday, do not use shampoo daily because it strips hair of natural moisture and oils. Do use conditioner daily. Go in the shower, wet your hair, and apply a good amount of conditioner. It's better to brush it now because it will minizmize breakage. Then after about 10 minutes, wash it out with warm water and finish with a cool/cold water rinse for shine.

Squeeze excess water out of hair and start by using a leave-in conditioner to protect hair from UV Rays, and harsh chemicals in mousse, gel, etc. You might want to scrunch with a gel, mousse, but try not to use hairspray. It never works with scrunching curls.

You might also want to use a deep conditioning treament weekly or biweekly. Use a salon-quality one, because there really is a difference in it from very cheap products.

I made a FreeWebs just as a thing for myself to keep track of good products, but I listed some very good products along with good haircare websites if you want to look.

http://www.freewebs.com/fashionmami/

When your hair is dry, do NOT brush it because that is what makes it into an afro. Also, if you can't wash it because it's a very little time to get ready, seperate hair into about 8 sections. Wet the sections with water and put in leave-in conditioner. Brush out the section and then twist, then scrunch using gel. Do this to each section, one by one.

Along with gel to scrunch, you may want to buy a curl booster. This will tighten and define curls and will also help keep frizz to a minimum or rid it completely.

Hope I helped!

I have long/ thick/dry/frizzy/curly hair due to my latin heritage. All i want to do is be able to wear it down

Ok, my hair was insaly thick, so I kinda know what you mean when it goes crazy on ya. See if you can get layers in your hair. My hair now weighs like, twenty pounds less! I would ask a hair stylist and see what they have to say.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:))))

I have long/ thick/dry/frizzy/curly hair due to my latin heritage. All i want to do is be able to wear it down

u should proly get it thinned out,and use sum gel or mouss, that always helps, good luck!XD

I have long/ thick/dry/frizzy/curly hair due to my latin heritage. All i want to do is be able to wear it down

I have thick curly hair myself. I use Curls Rock by Catwalk and it works well for taming the frizzies. Catwalk has other products for curly hair that can be used with Curls Rock that may offer additional control if you need it.

I have long/ thick/dry/frizzy/curly hair due to my latin heritage. All i want to do is be able to wear it down

I have very curly, thick hair as well. The key is to try and keep it condtioned and also use products designed for curly hair. I love Catwalk Curls Rock shampoo and conditioner. They have built in curl enhancers in them and it makes me once dry hair feel soft. I also use Tresemme curl defining mousee and it works wonders! I get people asking me all the time if I have a spiral perm because it defines my curls so well. Once you style your wet hair try to not mess with it in any way. THe more you play with curly hair the frizzier it gets. ANd if you blow dry....air drying is best....use a diffuser.

Hope that helps and good luck!

I have long/ thick/dry/frizzy/curly hair due to my latin heritage. All i want to do is be able to wear it down

well first of all, what shampoo are you using? because i recommend Garnier Fructis Curl %26amp; Shine. It works really well, and adds moisture. Dont forget to use the conditioner.

This may sound gross, but what i do is i shampoo my hair maybe only twice a week, and condition it everytime i shower. shampooing takes away moiture, and volume too. But if your hair gets greasy easily this wont be a good idea. you might want to try it, hopefully it works!

I have long/ thick/dry/frizzy/curly hair due to my latin heritage. All i want to do is be able to wear it down

My hair always frizzed up really bad. Then I went to a hair salon and had it trimmed and layered which helped. They also suggested a gel that I put in my hair before I style it. It's called super skinny and it seems to help keep the frizzies down. I also use a straightening iron on mine so that I have straight hair. If you want to keep curls try the gels for curls.

What shampoo and conditioner should i use if i have long, thick, and dry hair?

For Long Thick Dry Hair Care :

Too many coloring jobs or perms can weaken your hair structure and cause damage, as can excessive exposure to heat from hairdryers, curling irons, heated rollers and other electric styling tools. Being out in the sun or swimming in a chlorinated pool can also deplete hair of its life. To restore your hair to its natural splendor, try following these techniques:

Use moisturizing shampoos and conditioners designed for dry, damaged hair.

Cut down on the use of hairdryers, curling irons, etc.

Change your appliances regularly as the internal thermostats that regulate heat eventually break down.

When hitting the beach or going for a swim, use a leave-in product to protect your hair.

Treat your hair with a deep conditioner once a week.

Many people with thick hair complain of having an itchy, flaky scalp. This is usually caused by insufficient rinsing after cleaning your hair: the shampoo soap leaves a residue which is sealed onto the scalp by the conditioner, causing dryness and irritation. Make sure you rinse your hair longer after shampooing to avoid this problem. Other tips for making thick hair look its healthiest include:

Keep your hair either short or long - short haircuts keep thick hair under control, while the weight of long hair holds it down. Mid-length cuts on thick hair tend to make the hair stick out at the ends.

Cut your hair in layer to relieve some of the bulk. Don't cut short layers or pieces too short or they will add extra volume.

If you color your hair, opt for semi-permanent colors which don't have the same thickening effect as permanent colors and bleach.

Carol's Daughter Rosemary Mint Herbal Shampoo --For Long thick Dry Hair

What shampoo and conditioner should i use if i have long, thick, and dry hair?

I use Herbal Essences. There are different shampoos and conditioners for different kinds of hair. My nickname may say Roger P but I am really a girl. I can't change it. I don't know why.

What shampoo and conditioner should i use if i have long, thick, and dry hair?

Redken All Soft Avocado Shampoo and Conditioner. If you hair needs extra moisturizing, then they have a Heavy Cream in the Avocado line--it smells awesome and leaves your hair feeling great.

What shampoo and conditioner should i use if i have long, thick, and dry hair?

Use a moisturing shampoo and conditioner, preferably from a beauty store. I have very long hair and to keep the ends from drying out I only shampoo the top and just let it rinse through the rest and condition every day, especially the ends.. I get lots of compliments on my hair, it is very healthy and completely natural.

K-Pak is a wonderful product line, although on the pricey side. Their Deep Penetrating Reconstructor is AWESOME. Quite expensive, worth every penny and more, use it about once a week. If you have a friend in the beauty industry, see if she can get it for you at a discount so you can at least try it. That's how I got turned on to it, my sister in law owns a salon. Even my macho brothers love the K-Pak line.

What shampoo and conditioner should i use if i have long, thick, and dry hair?

enjoy (only available in CA and AZ) if you don't live there then try matrix

What shampoo and conditioner should i use if i have long, thick, and dry hair?

I say Nexxuss Hydrante Shampoor and Either Nexxuss Humectress Conditioner or Matrix Biolage Conditioning Balm.

What shampoo and conditioner should i use if i have long, thick, and dry hair?

Umm. If you don't care about price Nioxin is like the best shampoo and conditioner in the world. If you use it, use their deep conditioner for dry hair. Otherwise, use Biolage they are pretty cheap like 20 dollars. HaVe Fun AnD GoOd lUcK!

What shampoo and conditioner should i use if i have long, thick, and dry hair?

I know that a lot of people have said Pantene, but ask any professional hair stylist and they will tell you that it's the WORST drugstore brand to use! It makes your hair look good because it coats it will crap. It really isn't good for your hair at all. I have long, thick, curly hair (which means it needs all of the moisture it can get!) and use Pureology. It's the BEST! You can only get it at some salons and at most beauty supply stores (not Sallys). It's a little pricey...so splurge on the big bottle ($50)...it will last you a very long time. I would also suggest using a clarifying shampoo once a week. I promise you'll love it....sulfar free, 100% vegan, keeps your color looking great, etc.

What shampoo and conditioner should i use if i have long, thick, and dry hair?

the redkins hair products are really good for my hair. since its winter, u should try the clear moisture shampoo and conditioner by them since it gets really dry this time of year
