DONT use washing up liquid, its strips the hair of any natural oils left. The best thing for dry hair is to use a small about of olive oil rubbed in the dry ends, before shampooing with a gentle shampoo such as Johnsons baby shampoo. then once a week over the dry ends with maple syrup, leave for afew minutes and shampoo off and condition it with a specially formulated conditioner designed for dry hair, the best way too stop dry hair is to have it trimmed regularly and also cut down on the usage of heat products such as straighteners and dryers. Permed hair is known for being dry, but i have know people to use almond oil on there hair, apparently it helps to keep moisture locked in. hope that helps.
