How can i make my dry, frizzy, puffy hair smooth and striaght?

I have crazy wild hair. Its very dry, frizzy and puffy. the only way I've been able to where it down is washing it the day before letting it air dry and the next day striagting it with a striaghtner. But, I dont' know if this is the best and heathy way to deal with my hair. Is there a better and easier way for me to have smooth soft striaght or curly hair without the frizz?

you could always purchase aussie moist shampoo/conditioner and the aussie tizz no frizz gel and aussie sprunch spray....its what i used up until i cut my hair because i couldn't care for it as well as before (developed carpel tunnel so it was hard to brush thigh length curly hair every day) you can also take a clean spray bottle and mix some of your normal conditioner with water and use that to help control your frizz

good luck

For the soft and smooth part, I think Sunsilk shampoo, conditioner and cream make the hair so smooth. Use rollers, hair dryer and a good round brush, or a hair straightner to straighten your hair. Also John Frieda Anti-Frizz serum is really good.

i soo feel u.... i think thats the only way if u want it like straight and NOT frizzy .. none of the hair products out there seem to wrk [atleast 4 me]

there is another way but its a bit expensivee

my sister got her hair relaxed at a salaon and she had thick frizzy hair.. now she has straight hair.. and its so easy to manage... so chk out a salon near u and ask about relaxing ur hair

You could get it permantently straightened, but after a few months, half of it will be curly and half strait. I recommend anti- frizz shampoo by garnier fructis. their products rock. i know they have a curl defining shampoo which makes curls soft and shiny.

You can do a permanent straightening, ofcourse its not permanent it'll last for about 6 months until you have your new hair growth.

visit a good hair salon near your area. might be little expensive, but worth it

Do you color your hair? Highlight it? I did that to my hair and could never have smooth, straight hair. I have the "ugly wavy hair" type. Well anyway... I grew mine out to natural color. Cut it above the shoulders, bought a straightening iron from Sally's called a Helen of Troy $40. You can get the expensive Chi's if you prefer from any local salon. I shampoo with the Suave's new line in the orange bottle, called sleek and straight or vice versa. Blow dry, straighten... that's it. Sometimes I use a defrizzer serum but rarely ever now. But for a quick fix... you could hot roll your hair, it makes it smoother and gives you pretty curls at the ends of your hair. Good Luck! I've battled with the same problem for so very many years... !!!

If it is really frizzy you probably need a trim first of all. I have naturally curly hair so I know the longer it gets the more it poofs out and gets frizzy. You can buy creams and serums that are for smoothing and non frizzy for your hair. Wash it the day you are going to wear it, and put some of the straightening cream on it, then instead of air drying, you should blowdry it straight. You need a round brush, and take it in sections and blow dry a little at a time. Then you do the same with your straightener. Make sure you have a good one, or it will burn your hair up. You wont have to wash it for a couple days, just run the straightener over it the next day. Good luck!!!!

Have you tried using the anti fizz options with your shampoo and conditioner? Or for extra smooth hair, run a natural-bristle brush with a wooden backing (never use plastic) through your hair 50 times each day to distribute your hair鈥檚 natural oils evenly from root to tip. The natural bristles reduce tangling while the wooden base decreases static build-up.

Hope this helps!

it sounds like you need a deep conditioner to help hydrate your hair. But I don't know about making it straight without using a flat iron. I'd ask a hair-stylist. But start with a deep conditioner!

try to condition/oil your hair every night to bring moister to your hair.try to flat iron your hair to get it straight/get a relaxer

yeah my hair is naturally curly like spiral curls lol then when i brush it out there frizzy horrilble. its really bad but i get my hair really streight. ok people tell u to use streightening shampoo and conditioner. thats what makes ur hair dry! its for streight hair not to make it stirehgt. streight hair dosnt need alot of moisture in it but curly hair needs moisture so buy the shampoo for curls and conditioner too! o ur hair wont be dry that way it is eaisyer to get it streight how u like it. blow dry your hair streight it takes time yes but its worth it. then use a ceramic flat iron but make sure u use like a heat protection spray or product that saves ur hair from becoming fryed. so just dont use streightening shampoo's and conditioner's they amke the problem worse
