What do I do for my long, dry and damaged hair?

It's dry and damaged from years of straighining irons and curling irons. I use lots of different kinds of shampoos and conditioners. i deeply condition my hair two to three months. Is there anything I can put on my hair, eat or do to give it volume, shine and look healthy overall??? Please help! If there is anything that WORKS, please let me know!!

The best thing lovely, is to quit doing what you're doing to damage your hair! Get an all over good trim and use cholestrol (for now) every other week. Stay AWAY from products that contain alcohol and petroleum in them! No kidding. Take vitamins, drink a lot of water and milk. Use a moisture rich shampoo and don't shampoo every day. That dries your hair out so much it isn't funny. Quit buying into the hype that t.v. ads and hair stylists want to make you swallow, they are in it for the bucks honey! Eat right and use a wide tooth comb, instead of a brush. Give your poor hair a rest and get healthy. Your hair and nails are a very good compass to your over all health, if your hair isn't healthy, neither are you. Good luck. Nana

try herbal essences, for dry hair, or sunsilk hydra tlc or something like that. otherwise, i have found that dove shampoo and conditioner therapy works very well because its for extreme cases, though it might weigh your hair down a little. hope that helps!

Ok, 1st stops all your shampoo %26amp; conditioners because it's damaging! 2nd, get a baby shampoo...YES, IS BABY SHAMPOO! Look for Johnson or alike (Quality does matter). 3rd, get regular sleep %26amp; proper eating. Take Natural B-Complex nutrition supplement. Preferably from NUTRILITE(Reliable). Good Luck.

hot olive oil and a plastic shower cap for a couple hours. does wonders. drying the hair with a blowdryer really dries the hair out. air dry whenever you can do this at least once a week. there are hair vitamins at the drugstore

CUT it first. Start out with a healthy cut. That cut will depend on how long it has been since your last cut and the damage you have. I have had to cut up to six-seven inches to get the nasty stuff off. You should get your hair cut every 4-6 weeks after the initial cut and keep a regular schedule of cuts and deep conditioning. Your hair isn't going to look good even with all the conditioning you do, until you get it cut. I promise. Hair grows! It will get long again and this time take care of it as it is growing and you will have nice healthy shiny hair.

Drink lots of fluids and eat healthy food and that will help too. Rinse your hair in cold water. After you do your thing to your hair, hit some cold air on it for a few minutes to close down the cuticle . Then put some "silk therapy" by Farouk on it, not too much.

Good luck and God bless

What do I do for my long, dry and damaged hair?

ok condition condition then condition again... ok my moms a hairstylist so ive been around it my whole life... so if you want a good conditioner go down to the salon and buys some it my be $15 but its better then the other store stuff but if cant afford it then any conditioner will be good. ok so this sounds so dorky but it works wonders. put a bunch of conditioner all over your damp hair now take a large plastic bag and rip one side so that it will fit on your head. put your hair up with a clip, and the plastic bag over your whole conditioned head ( to protect your close and stuff from getting sonditioner on them and to help it trap heat), if you have a blowdryer use it (heat helps activate conditioner) do that for about 15 mins or just sit there with the conditioner on your head for about 30mins then just wash your hair out.. it should help.

I read that using a small amout of safflower oil is a natural humictant which attracts moisture, and leaves hair shiny. But the absolute best, quick remedy is a hair cut.
