Well my hair has times where it is thicker and thinner, it goes back and forth...when it is more thin, my scalp tends to be more dry and more hair ends up in the tub floor. Can dry scalp lead to thinning/brittle hair?
Could a dry scalp be causing my britte hair?
Yes when your scalp is dry it runs out of oil to provide to your hair. That means hair becomes brittle, split and eventually weakens to the point where it falls out. Use a shampoo and conditioner made especially for increasing the strength of your hair like Redken for Men Densify Thickening Shampoo (see here: http://www.redkenformen.com/prod_disp.as... ).
Hope this helps :)

Its worth the money and time to see a professional stylist who can recommend a good product or do a treatment to help then regular brushing and use good products, cheap drug store shampoos contain lots of crap that drys out hair and makes it brittle. If you are not into hairdressers try using coconut oil. Heat a little - not too hot and massage into your scalp. leave in for about an hour and then wash out with hot water in the shower. Do this once a week until its sorted out.

Vitamins are essential for proper hair growth. For healthy sebum in the scalp we require vitamin A. Graying and loss of hair is arrested with the intake of Vitamin B6 and B12. Keratin is produced by Biotin and hair follicles are kept healthy by inositol. Panthothenic acid and Para-amino benzoic acids are also beneficial. These vitamins are present in fruits such as lemon, pineapple and strawberry and in vegetables such as potato.
