If you have a Sallys Beauty Supply store in your town they have this stuff called ApHogee Keratin Reconstructor. It's only like $4.99. It puts protein back in your hair and helps dryness. Especially if your hair has been chemically processed or heat abused. You put it on after you shampoo and leave it on a few minutes. You can also put a shower cap over it and put the hair dryer on it. Then just rinse. Use it a couple days then just once a week after that. If you can't find it you can try to get Redken Deep Fuel. It's the same thing but it might be a bit more expensive.

Olive oil if your hair is REALLY dry, also Rite Aid carries this soap that's made of soy. It's a bar soap. I discovered that when I got some of it on the ends of my hair (which are damaged) that it helped it quite a bit. Avon also makes this stuff called split ends serum that I got and this is pretty good as well. It seems to make your hair dry faster and become softer as well.

I also have extremely dry hair due to years of perming, straightening and coloring. My hair was like straw. What I found that had the best results is not cleansing products but tools. If you heat dry your hair use an ionizing hair dryer. I bought one for about $25.00. It made a huge difference in the feel and appearance of my hair. Also use a natural bristle brush. I have one that is a round styling brush. Use the concentrator for the hair dryer and angle it down. This will help smooth the hair. Use a medium heat setting so you don't fry your hair.
